The Spirit of Giving

FreshChoice Te Awamutu's owner, Harry Singh and manager Phillip Oldfield heard that Fonterra's Customer Service Department in Hamilton were engaging in the "Spirit of Giving" competition and thought this was a great  idea and they would introduce it into their own store.  It was agreed that the collection would run for two weeks and would have an  estimated value of between $500-$1000.  It was a very successful campaign with staff getting the opportunity to see the interaction between suppliers and the retailer.

The "Spirit of Giving" aligns with Te Awamutu's monthly commitment  of supporting local charities and community projects by way of their "Community Fund" donations of between $500-$1000 depending on whether it's "Double Up" month or not.
